Excellent hot spring with lake view

Stayed in Christmas Eve, the hotel is a big one, with car park outside the hotel. Dinner and breakfast are buffet style. There is a coffee shop in the hotel with lake view, good for relax and the city is small with less shops. The hot spring is excellent, both outdoor and indoor with lake view, free massage chair (occupied sometimes). The only thing I don't like is that this big hotel served big tourist groups, too load and busy when I paid USD500/night as individual traveller.

这家酒店麻烦大家避雷，8千块的房间，房间里面自带温泉，但是温泉不出热水，投诉都找不到地方投诉；房间里面的温泉一直没有热水；前台服务实在是太差了；service in front desk is so bad；hot spring is not working in the room

I will rate this hotel 3.5 stars . Plus points 1) checkin was fast and staff accommodative - helped us to call and book dinner at Otaru Helped us to find a sewing kit 2) Rooms were big , wifi fast . One huge bottle of water was provided 3) Dinner restaurant ambience was fairly good - did not feel like eating in a canteen 4) Dinner variety was adequate with the delicious chirashi don and pizza and ice cream 5) Onsen had a shampoo bar - however the bar was placed at the wrong place near the entrance. You really needed to collect the dispensed shampoos in cups before you entered otherwise after the soak , how did one collect them naked ? It would have been a better idea to leave the shampoos on a rack in the bathing area . Hence the shampoo bar was like a showpiece but not practical. 6) Parking was free but located 100 m away . 7) The illuminated tunnel was just opposite the hotel. There was also a 711 next to the tunnel Negative points 1) Rooms toilets were very small Beds were a tad soft & one pillow given Noise insulation quite poor Furniture old and outdated 2) Dinner was good but had to queue for water ! Would have been better if more water dispensers were provided . 3) Breakfast was average . 3) Onsens - the top level one faced the lake but because of the hotel location , the view of Nakajima island was not in the centre but to one side The basement onsen’s view was partially blocked by steel scaffoldings .

坂田って背の低い眼鏡かけたおじさんの接客態度が悪すぎました。 設備のことで分からないことがあったのでたまたま近くにいた坂田さんに聞いたら担当では無かったのか分かりませんがポケットに手を入れながら「俺じゃなくてフロントのやつに聞け」って強い口調で言われました。周りには子供もいたのですごく怖がっていました。もう二度と行きません。

ご飯は洋食多めの和洋中心、どれも美味しいです。チーズや燻製が自家製でお酒ともよく合い美味しかったです。去年同じ時期に来た時は連休なのもあって中国系がかなり多くお風呂のマナーの悪い団体やレストラン会場もかなり混雑していて待たされたのですが、今回はそういうこともな落ち着いてお風呂も食事も満喫出来ました。シャンプーバーや仕切りのある洗面化粧台など、女性には嬉しい使いやすさでした。
