Great location, but old hotel and tired rooms

Close to the canal and train station. $200/night for a very tired room with mold. Bathroom was not clean and smelt of cigarettes even though it was a non smoking room. Mold was visible in the bedroom windows both in the room and bathroom. Curtains were ripped and no instant coffee available, just tea (not a big deal, but expected for the price).

Amazing location just across the street from the canal. Staff very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast very good with both western and Japanese menus. The hotel has a historic feel and I’m sure a good story. Located walking distance from shops and restaurants.

Great hotel with nostalgic vibe

The hotel is located at the opposite end of street from Otaru station and just in front of the Otaru canal. The design of the building both inside and outside blends in well with the surrounding, gives a very nostalgic vibe. Stayed a few nights at the hotel and was very happy with its service and room. The room may be dated but everything works and there are even modern convenience like USB charging points. House keeping was impeccable, love coming back to the room and every time everything is neat and clean. Front desk service was also superb; efficient and yet you could feel their warm and friendly service. Special shoutout to a particular energetic front desk lady (sorry for not catching her name) that helped sorted out our blunder on 2 occasions, the first for locking out the room safe and another time for forgetting the room key. The most impressive part was that she took it herself to personally attend to each of the issue and was totally friendly and helpful throughout. Thank you for making our stay especially memorable. The location of the hotel also makes it ideal to explore the city. Not too far from all the main tourist attractions but not too near till it’s crowded or noisy. Recommend this place also because they have larger rooms that can accommodate a small family of 3 staying together. However these rooms don’t come with great view. But it’s still fine with us as there are so much to see and do outside. Will look forward to returning for another stay when there is an opportunity.

足の悪い母との旅行で使わせていただきました。 ロビーに入って直ぐに母の足の状態を確認して、 本来ならばエレベーターから離れた部屋の予定だったみたいですが、エレベーター近くの部屋に変更してくれました。 たまたま調整がきいたのかもしれませんがとても助かりました。 翌朝の朝食会場に行ったら、出入り口の１番近い席を確保していてくれました。 朝食バイキングは、他の方の口コミ同様とても美味しく、牛乳ぷりんが本当に美味しかったです。 小樽観光にとても良い場所にあり便利でした。

ランチビッフェは11時30分からオープンで90分制で大人1人2450円でした。ヘルシーなメニューや海産物も豊富で良かったです。窓側の席に座りたいなら予約をおすすめします。
