落ち着いた雰囲気のフロントから、廊下を歩いて行った客室は、こちらも広くてシックな寛げる感じでした。が、カーテンを開けてびっくり、窓からはぬかるんだ地面に枯草覆う斜面だけ、すぐそばには張られたブルーシート。後に行った露天風呂がブルーシートに囲まれており納得、ちょうどこれが一部工事中ということかと残念に思いました。それほど大混雑の時期でもないのに、１階の山側の部屋にがっかりでした。 朝食のビュッフェと、案内くださった年輩のスタッフさんにだけ、いい印象を持ちました。

すべてにおいて期待以上でした。 食事は朝食を２回夕食を１回いただきましたがとてもおいしかったです。 ステーキは特に美味しく家族みんなで何回もいただきました。 朝食のパンは焼きたてを提供していただき温かくサクサクしておりどれを食べても最高でした。 お風呂も温泉でそんなにこんでなく　ゆっくりと朝風呂夕風呂と入りました。 雪を見ながらの露天風呂は本当に良かったです。 ゲレンデサイドなのでレンタルしてそのままゲレンデにでられますし立地がとてもいいです。 ホテル全体リニューアルしてきれいですし　売店も飲食物やお土産また　スキー用品等も充実しています。 スタッフの皆さんも気持ちよく接客していただきとても思い出に残るいい旅になりました。 ありがとうございました。

Great ski-in ski-out resort in a quiet location

Located on the ski slopes, it is truly a ski-in, ski-out resort. Great location for your skiing with easy access back to hotel and lockers and all other amenities and quick way out back on the slopes. Very well organised giving you minimal fuss to get out and back in. Facilities were good, great Onsen facilities (I wish there were not closed between 9am - 1pm) where you can regenerate and relax. Ski rentals onsite with good service, reasonable gear. Very good morning buffet breakfast, great pastry with bakery onsite and good selection. A library to wait and relax and a cafe with good coffee and also some food. Shop onsite to get some munchies. Coin operated laundry. Bus stop outside on front steps. Great facilities. Service was very good, very helpful front desk where you can buy your ski passes and organise everything. Very friendly staff. Rooms were fine, ok in terms of space and bathroom. I mean. mot people here go out and ski and rooms are there to sleep :) Good beds and had good night sleep. The rooms are either on the parking side (front) which has uninspiring view and on forest side (back) where the view is amazing. Get the rooms facing the back of the hotel if you can!. Skiing was great, despite the An'nupuri being the smallest of the skiing areas, we found that it had everything to offer, from greens to good reds and off-piste powder. The bus that goes to other resorts comes only once an hour and is usually full, it's not easy nor fast to travel for dinner to other resorts like Hirafu. That is a disadvantage as there aren't many other places to eat close by. All need booking as they get full, that is a big disadvantage if you are after some night life, you're not getting it here. Overall, I was very very happy to spend the 6 days here, prices were very reasonable and I would recommend it.

静かで落ち着いてました

７月の平日利用だったので、空いていて静かでした。 部屋は十分広く、お風呂は貸し切り状態、ゆっくりできました。 低層の建物なので、横に広かったですが、特に不便は感じませんでした。 夕食のバイキングはパスして、車で食べにでかけました。帰りは代行を予約しておいたので、スムースに戻ることができました。 朝食のバイキングもおいしくいただきました。

Perfect Niseko base

The Northern is close to perfection if you are a keen skier/boarder. You seriously cannot fault it. It is a large hotel, maybe a little dated, but it has everything you need. From the skier's perspective, you can't really beat it. Ski lockers are perfect, everything dry out nicely overnight. You ski down to gondola and chair lift right from the ski room (very European set up). Buy your ski pass on-line and pick it up at gondola. And you can be up first on the best powder slopes in Niseko without much of a hassle. Night skiing is just out of the ski room too. For those who need to rent gear, there is a large rental right in the hotel. And it looks like they have a large selection. Onsen is great, very clean, and functional. Bar is very nicely appointed. The only complaint is that it is odd that it's closed from 5 to 6pm. I guess it has to do with the staff shortages after Covid. I think they need to open it later (not at 2pm) and keep it open. Food is plentiful (buffet), and could get a bit monotonous if you stay for a couple of weeks, but you can always go out, there are a few options in Annupuri and the Niseko bus stops in front of the hotel. Rooms are small but totally ok - you can store all bulky items and suitcases at their storage next to ski locker. Yes they may need a bit of an upgrade, but seriously they are completely fine and the sleep quality is good. Will be back for sure, and perhaps we should keep it a secret since the number of tourists in Niseko has exploded since we first came here more than 10 years ago!
