Front desk says its not their problem

I booked via Agoda months before my trip on December 13th. I booked a double room costing $1400 SGD and it was confirmed by agoda. When I reached there I was given the room and only to my surprise it's a SEMI double. I went to the front desk to change my room a it was a miss match. I was rejected and they said it's not their problem as they just follow the agent's order. But I paid for a more expensive room and I said that's cheating. But they said I can go to another hotel if I'm not happy. It was already late night. The room was so small that I can barely open two luggage. The bed was like a super single bed. Imagine to endure that for 9 days with my partner. Agoda tried to contact the hotel and they said they are fully booked that night. Ironically the said if I want a bigger room I've to pay extra; so there are extra room unless I want to pay more. It's a robbery! I really couldn't believe this, first time in Japan I've come across such bad services.

Nice hotel within walking distance from JR Akihabara

The location of this hotel is very good. Its just opposite JR Akihabara station which is like less than 5 mins walk. Good if you want to stay within Akihabara as the price is not that high also. The good of this hotel is I personally like the check in time of 2pm and check out time of 11am which is like earlier and later compared to most hotels which is 3pm check in and 10am check out. The services of the staffs and cleaners are very good and polite as they always greet and smile when I see them. The hotel room size is decent and its equipped with a queen size bed which I feel is big enough for 2 even though I was a solo traveller. The aircon also comes with heater function so its good even if you're staying during winter time. I stayed on the 11th floor so the view is actually not bad also. Some of the cons of this room is that the fridge inside the room is abit small as I bought a 2 litre bottle of water and it wasn't able to fit into the fridge. The TV is not a smart tv so I was not able to watch youtube or other OTT services but it was not an issue for me as there are tons of TV channels to watch. The table in the room is abit small if you want to work in the room or want to have a meal in the room as its just a small round table or if you want to put things on the table after a day out. There are alot of restaurants and convenience stores around so there will not be any problems to look for food and drinks. There's even 2 starbucks right across the street so its easy to get your coffee fix everyday. Overall it was a good staying experience with a good price. Will stay again if I want to stay within Akihabara.

L'hotel è in una posizione davvero strategica, in un quartiere movimentato con diversi locali e ristoranti, ma sopratutto davanti alla Stazione Akihabara da cui ci si può muovere agevolmente in tutta la città. La reception è al terzo piano, con self check-in e check-out velocissimi. La nostra camera era ovviamente piccola come tutte quelle che troverete in Giappone (mi pare fosse 16mt), ma con una spazio discreto per aprire le valigie e muoversi. Il letto grande e sopratutto molto comodo. Colazione ottima, c'è la possibilità di mangiare qualcosa di dolce (croissant, marmellate, yogurt etc.) continentale ( uova strapazzate, bacon etc ) oppure giapponese ( pesce vario, insalatina, zuppette ) Consigliatissimo.

Ottimo in hotel ! D’avanti alla fermata del JRPass e a 2 min a piedi dalla metro. Pulito e personale molto gentile, check in e check out molto veloce senza aspettare. Non abbiamo avuto nessun problema vi consiglio questo hotel per tutto. Complimenti

Overall we were really happy with our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was great. The hotel is in a fantastic location only a minutes walk from Akihabara station which is great because it’s on the Yamanote line. The breakfast buffet was lovely with a great choice . If we ever return to Tokyo we will definitely stay again.
