Hotel is nice but location is less convenient

The hotel itself was nice and the rooms were more spacious and modern than a lot of other local hotels. The free afternoon snack and drink time had very nice red bean cakes and the selection of tea and coffee was excellent. Just keep in mind that unlike other Comfort Hotels in the area, breakfast is not free. I didn't find out until check in because when I booked it, it was still free. However, a week before I checked in, the hotel rebranded from a standard Comfort Hotel to Comfort Hotel ERA and breakfast became chargeable. The hotel's location is also not the most convenient if coming from public transportation. The closest JR station is Bakurocho and unfortunately, the closest exit does not have an elevator so you will need to pull your luggage up 3 flights of stairs from Exit 2 of the station and then still walk 6 blocks to the hotel. Otherwise you'd have to walk underground 6 blocks in the opposite direction to the Toei subway Bakuroyokoyama station to access the elevator and then walk back 12 blocks to the hotel. I've also stayed at the nearby Comfort Hotel Higashi Nihombashi and although the closest exit from Bakurocho station also only has stairs, at least that hotel is right outside the exit so there's no extra walking after leaving the station, and breakfast is still free there. This time I picked this hotel (Higashi Kanda) for the larger rooms and free breakfast at the time I booked. However, since there's no longer free breakfast, I will probably go back to picking the Comfort Hotel Kanda as that is closer to JR Kanda station which has an elevator so it's easier to transport your luggage and still includes free breakfast. The JR Yamanote line at Kanda station is also more convenient for tourists than the JR Sobu line at Bakurocho station.

A gem of a hotel

So we have discovered that booking a hotel in Japan that actually give the correct number of beds are hard. We are a family 2 adults and one child and lots of hotel wanted us to all sleep in one bed. The comfort hotel came to the rescue and we were able to get a room with enough beds for a comfortable stay. The hotel is in a great location. We enjoyed the quiteness of the area but I was easily walkable to loads of places. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned everyday. The beds were so so comfortable. The breakfast as great everyday. We had the most fabulous 9 night stay.

I stayed five nights at this well valued tourist class hotel. It had what I needed and a better than expected breakfast. The rooms are small, but you have a mini fridge a desk and tv and a desk chair. Theres not a lot of room for items but I had just a carry on bag. The hotel had self service laundry machines which was helpful and was near several convenience stores and walking distance (ten minutes or so) to multiple subway lines and the JR is a few minutes longer walk. The area is relatively quiet but you can access busier areas easily like Akihabara by foot. Only thing missing was a little fitness center. This hotel was largely for tourists and business people. Nothing fancy but was clean and a great value.

I booked a single person stay with this comfort hotel. My friends booked a different hotel close to mine. When my friends come to my hotel room to grab a drink and have a conversation with me. The staff stop my friends come to my room. And I have told the staff my friends won't stay overnight. They still asked for money to allow my friend to come to my room. They said the hotel need to register every guest to visit the hotel. But the truth was they just took the 2000 yen for each visitor, but never actually register the visitors' information. What a BS from the staff! I still remeber the name of the staff is Tanka. I believe that these issues are a reflection of poor management and training of staff. As a paying guest, I expect to receive good value for my money and a pleasant stay. However, my experience at your hotel has left me disappointed and frustrated.

Hotel in posizione strategica in quanto si trova vicino a tre linee della metropolitana, attraverso con le quali è possibile raggiungere i due aereoporti internazionali. I quartieri di Ginza e Akihabara sono vicini a 20 minuti di cammino. La struttura è ben gestita con personale che parla inglese, buona la colazione compresa della tariffa.
